eGalaxy is the first online store in Greece specializing in the field of GPS technology, and was founded in 1999. After a ten-year period of growth, it is now dominant in the market for electronic commerce of such goods, being the No. 1 selling dealer of Garmin in Greece. In addition, having the exclusive representation of companies such as ZAGG, Vaja, iSkin, it is the only online shop in Greece with premium quality accessories for mobile phones, smartphones and GPS navigation.
The previous eShop of the company needed an upgrade, and Darkpony undertook the project for the complete design, development and promotion of the shop eGalaxy.gr through SEM techniques.
The revamped graphical environment, the eShop SEO and the promotion actions undertaken by Darkpony Ltd on behalf of eGalaxy.gr (competitions, text and image banners, sponsorships) led to the desired results in terms of visit numbers and, most importantly, boosted online shop sales.
The result justified the expectations of both the client and ourselves and lead to a new agreement that was about the creation of 6 new European online stores (eGalaxy.co.uk, eGalaxy.dk. eGalaxy.fr, eGalaxy.se, eGalaxy.co.nl και eGalaxy.com.cy), supporting the countries' native language and addressed solely to European consumers.
These new online stores are prime examples of technology and functionality as they use all new eCommerce technologies and provide a high level of online sales services.
In September 2015, Darkpony proceeded to 3rd in order update of eGalaxy's estores (eGalaxy.gr, eGalaxy.com.cy), which aims to constant update of the web design in order to meet new standards and improve user's experience.
